How to Enable/Disable Magento 2 Add to Wish List in the eyes-blink?

Improved from previous version, Magento 2 contains powerful features as well as interface. Many people are totally impressed by amazing improvement from this platform. However, some users find the difficulties in managing and finding the suitable for their store among too many features, or some features are not useful for their store. Add to Wish List is something like that. Therefore, in this post, we will show the way to enable ad disable Add to Wish List via the admin interface.

  • The first way to enable/disable Add to Wish List is manipulate steps below:

① Admin sidebar→ Stores→ Configuration→ Wish List

Expand the General Options, then set “Yes” for Enable or “No” for Disable

  • The second way is applying command:

Add following command:

php bin/magento module:disable Magento_Wishlist

Check module status by performing code command:

Besides, if you want to configure Wish List again, you can do by this way:

Expand Share Options, then:

  • Set Email Sender to the store contact that appears as the sender of the message
  • Set Email Template to the template to be used when a customer shares a wish list
  • Set Max Emails Allowed to be Sent: you can set the number of the emails customers can send in a batch ( the default is 10, the maximum is 10,000)
  • Set Email Text Length Limit: set the limitation for the size of massage ( the default value is 255)

Expand My Wish List Link, then set Display Wish List Summary:

  • Display number of items in Wish List display item quantities My Wish List Link

Tap Save Config

For customers, we will introduce the way to share the Wish List:

In the panel on the left of your customer account dashboard, select My Wish List

In case you want to leave comments for product, hover over the image then type your comment in the box

Share the Wish List

  • Tap Share My Wish List
  • Add email address of each recipient, separated by a comma
  • Write a message for the content of the email
  • Tap Share Wish List
